biggest lobster in the world

BEIJING-suspected Lobster about 140 years old will be returned to the ocean after becoming a mascot for a restaurant in New York City.

Xinhua reported on Saturday (10 / 1) Lobster weighing 9 pounds was caught off the coast of Newfoundland in Canada, about one and a half weeks ago and sent to New York.

Lobster were purchased at a price of 100 dollars by the City Crab and Seafood to be the mascot. "We bought a big lobster, started taking pictures with the kids and it really works," said restaurant manager Keith Valenti.

"We never intended to sell the giant lobster, only meant to draw attention to the restaurant," said the manager.

Lobster will be sent to Maine from New York's restaurant by animal rights activists and allow the animal back into the ocean freely around Kennebunkport, where lobster fishing is prohibited.

"Age of lobster that can be estimated from how much weight, because every pound is equal to 7 to 10 years," said Valenti.
