“The old town of Batavia will

2. The dragons of Komodo
The world’s largest lizards exist on just five Indonesian islands -
Komodo, Rinca, Flores, Gili Motang, and Padar. They are truly fearsome,
weighing up to 150lbs and possessing toxic bites, allowing them to hunt
and kill far bigger animals – even humans.
Named one of Telegraph Travel’s top 20 places to visit back in 2014, lesser-visited Sumatra is a wild and beautiful hotspot for adventure.
“Most visitors head to see the orang-utan of Bukit Lawang,” wrote
Guyan Mitra at the time, “and the army of vigilante elephants which are
commissioned to protect the northern rainforest of Tangkahan
(seriously). You can join them for their dawn lake-shore bath, and scrub
their nails before the morning patrol. Topped off with a cup of strong
Sumatran coffee, there are few better ways to start a day."
Sumatra: wild
“The seriously intrepid should consider a trip to Kerinci Seblat, the
biggest national park on the island, where you may get to see tigers
and the Sumatran rhino, if you’re lucky. Creature comforts are few, but
the rewards are high. There’s also hiking across the lunar craters of
the volcanoes of Berastagi, lakeside lounging in Danau Toba, diving with
whale sharks in Pulau Weh, and surfing off the Mentawaii Islands and
Pulau Nias.”
4. World class diving
Nowhere in the world offers better diving than the Coral Triangle, an
area of the Pacific Ocean that includes the waters around Indonesia,
Malaysia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and the Solomon
Islands. One of the best ways to explore it is on a liveaboard boat
around the Raja Ampat Islands in Indonesia's West Papua province. Divers
will find 75 per cent of all the world’s know coral species, and up to
2,000 species of reef fish.
5. The temples and mountains of Java
It might be the most populous island in the world, with around 140
million residents, but Java has plenty of places to escape the crush.
There are 12 national parks to explore – including Unesco-listed Ujung
Kulon – and volcanoes – including Bromo and Merapi – to hike up.

Java is also home to the world’s biggest Buddhish temple, Borobudur,
with its intricate lattice stupas set among paddy fields. It’s often
crowded, so consider lesser-known sites such as Pawon, Mendut, Plaosan
Lor and Kalasan, which retain an air of contemplation and peace.

6. The backpacker haven of Bali
“This is one of very few islands that manage to combine spirituality
and hedonism; visitors can witness coming-of-age ceremonies, as well as
enjoy sundowners, first-rate dining and chic shopping,” says Telegraph Travel’s Michelle Jana Chan.
“At Ubud, the island’s cultural capital, there are frequent musical and
dance performances, as well as galleries selling woodcarving,
silverware, textiles, paintings and sculpture. There is trekking around
terraced rice fields and two volcanoes in the north, Agung and Batur.
Bali Barat National Park is a haven for deer, boar and macaques, and the
offshore Menjangan Island has dive sites with schools of batfish, giant
trevally and jacks.”
Millions of people visit Bali each year seeking a beach paradise, but
they may do better looking about 30 miles east, to the lesser-known
island of Lombok,
known for its good surf, spectacular beaches and mountainous interior,
or the neighbouring Gili Islands, ringed by coral reefs.

“Until recently the Gili Islands were mainly visited by backpackers
paying £10 a night for simple beach accommodation,” wrote Michelle Jana
Chan back in 2012. “Now the biggest island, Gili Trawangan, is going
upmarket with the opening of villa resorts, eco-lodges and spa retreats.
But there is still a bohemian feel: instead of cars and motorcycles,
local transport is by bicycle or horse-drawn carts called cidomos.”
9. There's the indigenous tribes of Kalimantan
“The wild island of Borneo (of which Kalimantan makes up around two
thirds) has enchanted adventurers since the days of the Victorian
explorers,” says Michelle Jana Chan. “Today, little has diluted that raw
experience, and among its attractions are rainforests, indigenous
tribes and the orang-utans of Tanjung Puting National Park.”
10. South-east Asia’s biggest national park
Lorentz, a Unesco World Heritage site on the island of Papua, is vast
– covering 9,674 square miles – and home to a huge array of ecosystems,
including mangroves, rainforest, alpine tundra and equatorial glaciers.
Its highest point, Puncak Jaya, is the tallest mountain between the
Himalayas and the Andes.
There are 123 mammalian species and 630 species of bird, including
many that are endemic to the region. But much of the park remains
unexplored – so scientists believe more are waiting to be discovered.
11. The ‘Paris of the East’
This sobriquet has been applied to numerous cities, including
Bandung, on the island of Java. Its cooler climate makes it a popular
weekend destination for residents of Jakarta; expect an array of
fashionable boutiques and a surprisingly large number of Art Deco
buildings.

12. And the cultural hub of Yogyakarta
Java’s second city, Yogyakarta, is the cultural and spiritual hub
with all-night shadow-puppet performances, concerts and art exhibitions.
It is also the best base for exploring the aforementioned Borobudur and
the vast Hindu temple complex of Prambanan, with its principal temples
dedicated to Vishnu, Shiva and Brahma and hundreds of surrounding
shrines.
13. There are more temples than you could visit in a lifetime
Borobudur and Prambanan are best known, but there are literally
hundreds of others, big and small. Bali is home to some of the most
picturesque, including Tanah Lot, perched on a sea stack, and Pura Ulun
Danu Bratan, which appears to float on a lake.
14. One of the world’s most spectacular lighthouses
This 12-storey gem was built by the Dutch in 1882 on the little
island of Lengkuas. It can be reached by boat from Tanjung Kelayang on
the island of Pulau Belitung.
Price surveys frequently attest to Indonesia’s suitability for budget travel.
According to the website Numbeo, its Cost of Living Index (which takes
into account the price of accommodation, restaurant meals, taxi fares
and leisure activities) is 36.33, putting it ahead of south-east Asian
rivals Thailand (40.2), Myanmar (51.57), Cambodia (47.29) and Vietnam
(39.5). And when it comes to the cost of food and drink its beaches are among the world’s cheapest.
In five days, I take care of my beautiful holiday, the summer before starting a new life back home in Australia.
First destination: Queenstown, New Zealand. 11 days of snow (Oh, I hope there's snow! The current reports are just horrible), skiing, Shotover Jet and some fun winter activities. I really need to go back to the go-kart. I have made a few years ago and it was fun.
The next item concerns a week in Auckland to visit my cousin and see the sights.
After that, two weeks in Fiji. I've always wanted to go (I blame The Truman Show) and I am now. I booked the first week in a luxury inn (once might have been an oxymoron, but no more), then the second week, I'll be spontaneous. How wild and reckless depends on my budget is in place for this step.
Finally, from Melbourne to see my brother. I've never been to Melbourne but again is another place that I have heard good things and always wanted to see. I have a list of places to see and do my best to fit them all into Heck, I might even go to the fields of snow there!
After that, I think Cairns to see my mother for a few weeks. After that? Who knows!
However, before embarking on these adventures, I have to pack my life in Indonesia. It's amazing how many "things" that can win in two years, without even trying! I go into my stuff again and again, trying to bring a little to save the port. Every penny I spend on transport affect my vacation budget, which is not so juicy to begin with. You can not afford to dehydration!

The Republic of Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world comprising 17,504 large and small tropical islands fringed with white sandy beaches, many still uninhabited and a number even still unnamed. Straddling the equator, situated between the continents of Asia and Australia and between the Pacific and the Indian Oceans, it is as wide as the United States from San Francisco to New York, equaling the distance between London and Moscow. Indonesia has a total population of more than 215 million people from more than 200 ethnic groups. The national language is Bahasa Indonesia.
Among the most well known islands are Sumatra, Java, Bali, Kalimantan (formerly Borneo), Sulawesi (formerly Celebes), the Maluku Islands (or better known as Moluccas, the original Spice Islands) and Papua. Then, there is Bali “the world’s best island resort” with its enchanting culture, beaches, dynamic dances and music. But Indonesia still has many unexplored islands with grand mountain views, green rainforests to trek through, rolling waves to surf and deep blue pristine seas to dive in where one can swim with dugongs, dolphins and large mantarays.
Because of her location, and geology, Indonesia is blessed with the most diverse landscape, from fertile ricelands on Java and Bali to the luxuriant rainforests of Sumatra, Kalimantan and Sulawesi, to the savannah grasslands of the Nusatenggara islands to snow-capped peaks of West Papua.
Her wildlife ranges from the prehistoric giant Komodo lizard to the Orang Utan and the Java rhino, to the Sulawesi anoa dwarf buffalos, to birds with exquisite plumage like the cockatoo and the bird of paradise. This is also the habitat of the Rafflesia the world’s largest flower, wild orchids, an amazing variety of spices, and aromatic hardwood and a large variety of fruit trees. Underwater, scientists have found in North Sulawesi the prehistoric coelacanth fish, a “living fossil” fish, predating the dinosaurs living some 400 million years ago, while whales migrate yearly through these waters from the South Pole. Here are hundreds of species of colourful coral and tropical fish to admire.
Culturally, Indonesia fascinates with her rich diversity of ancient temples, music, ranging from the traditional to modern pop, dances, rituals and ways of life, changing from island to island, from region to region. Yet everywhere the visitor feels welcomed with that warm, gracious innate friendliness of the Indonesian people that is not easily forgotten.
Facilities-wise Indonesia’s hotels are second to none. In fact, many of our luxurious and unique hotels have constantly been listed as some of the best in the world, located on white sandy beaches, overlooking green river valleys, or situated in the heart of busy capital Jakarta. While Indonesia’s cities like Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, or Makassar are a hive of activities for business and leisure and a paradise for shoppers, offering upscale boutiques selling top brand names, to local goods at road-side stalls. Here gourmets can treat themselves to the many regions’ delectable spicy cuisine or dine sumptuously at international restaurants. And for sheer relaxation, Indonesia Spas are second to none to reinvigorate both body and mind.
Convention centers are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, as many top international conferences and exhibitions are held in Jakarta, Bali to Manado, ranging from the Global Climate Change Conference in Bali to the World Ocean Conference in Manado , to trade and investment exhibitions and tourism trade shows in many provincial capital cities.
Jakarta, Bali, Medan, Padang, Bandung, Solo, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Makassar are connected by direct international flights, and many regular and low cost carriers fly passengers to Indonesia’s towns or remote locations.

Sendang Biru Beach is located on Sumbermanjing Wetan distric, about 69 km from the south of Malang, East Java. It is well known for the biggest fish auction in Malang and a place for fishing harbour. It is called Sendang Biru because it has a blue water.(Sendang in Javanesse language means source of water).
In special occasion such as Syawalan (it is the 7th or 8th day in the month of Syawal) many people take a boats to the Pulau Sempu to take the water from its spring water. It is believed just like “Widodaren water” in Wendit which can bring many advantages for health.
The beach that facing Pulau Sempu only separated by a narrow strait which is often used for sailing or other water sports. Pulau Sempu is a nature reserve with freshwater lake full of catfish spread in the forest and lakes around the island.
Sempu Island is technically a natural conservation area, 60 km from malang, east java with no population except the wildlife. It’s only a 5 minutes boat trip from a fisherman’s village called sendang biru. the boat will stop at teluk semut (ant’s bay) in sempu island.
My destination at sempu island is a lagoon located inside the island called segara anakan. from teluk semut we have to walk about 2 hours to reach segara anakan in normal condition. unlucky for me, the rain pour hard the night before i came. so the track is slippery and muddy and we need about 3 hours to reach segara anakan.
But it’s all worth it. I was welcomed by a beautiful white beach with calm clear water with high rock on the other side. As if it is my own swimming pool. The first instinct after a muddy walk is to dive in to the water. There’s water splashing inside from the ocean through a hole from the rock. It’s getting dark, I look above and after years living in a big city I realize it’s been a while since I a clear starry night sky.
I lie down on the beach. Looking at the sky hearing the ocean waves splashing the island’s rocks then fell asleep. the next day I climb the rock on the side of the island. on top you can sit and enjoy the view of the Indian ocean. hope one day you’ll be here, trust me, in sempu you’ll realize how small you are in this world.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has prepared two tons of catfish to be sold to the public with cheap prices during a "Catfish Festival" held at East Parking Lot of the Bung Karno Sports Stadium on June 19 to 20.
Head of Data Center for Statistics and Information (Pusdatin) of KKP, Soen`an Hadi Purnomo, said here on Friday, two tons of catfish that had been prepared was donated by the Directorate General of Fisheries and Aquaculture.
"Some will be sold alive, some are sold after being cooked, and partly for the purposes of cooking demos," he said.
Held for the first time, the Catfish Festival will be opened by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, accompanied by Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Fadel Muhammad, Governor Fauzi Bowo, as well as mothers from the Solidarity of Indonesian Cabinet Wives Association(SIKIB).
A total of 37 catfish `pecel` (salad served with peanut sauce) stalls joined forces to sell a ton of "catfish pecel" worth Rp6.000 per package. While the 600 kilogram (kg) of live catfish will be sold directly to the public at the price of Rp7.000 per kg.
"The rest is 400 kg will be used for cooking demonstrations that will be followed by 150 participants from the Greater Jakarta area," he said.
Catfish-related exhibitions will be held during the festival. Communities can get various kinds of information ranging from technical catfish cultivation, feed, until processed catfish.
Another interesting thing is made with a special business meeting to reconcile the processing of catfish farmers and entrepreneurs.
Some stakeholders such as PT Alang-alang from Boyolali, abon (boiled and fried shredded meat) catfish producers, "Cat Fish Club", Lele Lela, Department of Marine Fisheries in Yogyakarta and Central Java, to the catfish feed companies will be participating in the festival.
Activities, aimed at dissemination of fishery products, particularly catfish, will also enlivened with the campaign "Gemarikan" or Joy of Eating Fish.
The government target is to continue increasing fish consumption of the community. The KKP data mentioned the community level of fish consumption in 2005 reached 23.95 kg per capita per year, while the year 2009 it had reached 30.17 kg per capita per year.(*)
Ijen plateau or known as "Kawah Ijen" is highly recommended to mountain buffs and hikers. The Plateau was at one time a huge active crater, 134 sq km in area. Today, Ijen is a quiet but active volcano, and the landscape is dominated by the volcanic cones of Ijen (2,368 asl) and Merapi (2,800 asl) on the northeastern edge of the Plateau, and Raung (3,332 asl) on the southwest corner.
The magnificent turquoise sulfur lake of Kawah Ijen lies at 2148 m above sea level and is surrounded by the volcanos sheer crater walls. The vent is a source of sulfur and collectors work here, making the trek up to the crater and down to the lake every day. Sulfur collectors hike up in the morning and return around 1 pm when the clouds roll in. They carry shoulder basket of pure sulfur from a quarry on the lakes edge under the shadow of the sheer walls of the crater. The mineral at Kawah Ijen is purer and is worth commercial exploitation despite the horrendous labor involved: Javas homegrown sulfur is a natural source of sulfuric acid, in great demand in the oil-refining business and in the production of fertilizers.
as usual this posting is a just prologue for the travel destination in the world especially in indonesia, for complete information please find your self trough google.
When you visit East Java, don't forget to visit Mount Bromo to see the sunrise. Many domestic and foreign tourists visit Bromo to see the sunrise from one of the highest mountains on Java island (2,392 meters above sea level).
Mount Penanjakan (2,770 meter above sea level) is an ideal location to see the sunrise slowly from the east at about 04:30-05:30 am as night clouds slowly disappear and are replaced with a dim sunlight. Next, yellowish red light appears slowly to form a golden half ball. Watching the sunrise with a cup of hot coffee or tea and a cool wind flowing will provide a special sensation.

The world is volatile both in terms of socio-economic and political, the global economic crisis is really only happens in the American impact on countries that depend on liberal economics. Trust between nations and religious people of the world approaching a crisis point difference is often viewed as an attitude for each drop
Then where Indonesia? What we feel it all?
Broadly speaking, we are not affected by the situation that occurred in the world today, we are somewhat stable economy even mentioned Indonesia as a country that can get through the global crisis more quickly than other countries. Because our economy is still able to rely on the domestic market is large enough. Plus the power of the current banking that began switching to sharia, a system already adopted by some banks in the UK and became a system that is easy to waver because of the global crisis like now.
And what about the crisis of confidence in democracy?
United States is always echoing itself as the country with the best democratic system was seen as another country dimulut other ditindakan, all false. While Indonesia is nearly 11 years through democratic reforms began to taste the beautiful, all can be seen from the general election either, despite the lack of technical stuff but all that much different from the elections during ordebaru, where before it was voted the winner already.
Is Indonesia apart from the issue of religious differences??
After the events of 11 semptember United States government that seemed to "hate" Islam, a stumbling block between faiths, especially Islam and Christianity. Israel Pernyerangan never-ending to the Palestinian people also make religious issues into the forefront as a provocation. While in Indonesia, like what?? Poso as a benchmark case of religious differences that had split hub between Muslims and Christians are now resolved. The situation there is conducive to this nation's barometer of success in overcoming crisis Bergama differences.
Viewed from that, Indonesia is a country that does not feel the impact of global crisis widely in any aspect. Policy Barack Obama president who wants to seek equality, mutual respect mengahargai and among religious communities in the world to make this nation a clear example of all the policies that, like the quotation from the compass .. com (5 / 6) obama several times before telling the public Muslims in Cairo, Egypt bagaimaa childhood passed in the country have certain mutual respect between faiths high
"I am a Christian. But, my father came from Kenya who are Muslims from generation to generation. As a child, I spent several years in Indonesia and listen Azan at dawn and at sunset," Obama said.
Not enough people until there is also another example for the world through beautiful words obama. "Islamic tradition known as tolerance. We see it in the history of Andalus and Cordoba during the Inquisition. I saw it immediately as a child in Indonesia where Christians worship freely in Muslim-majority nation,"
Even her more extreme obama picked the verses of Al-Quran to be a reference for peace between faiths
"Scripture tells us the Qur'an, O mankind, We created you from a male and a female and made you into nations and tribes that ye may know each other", said obama.
Then he also took another verse, "the Scriptures teach us the Qur'an whoever kills dangers of an innocent person, then as if he had killed all mankind; Koran and the Bible also teaches whoever saved a life, it seemed will he saved the life of all mankind, "Obama said.
This predominantly Muslim nation was staring sweetly by the world, all eyes look for what's in the nation that Indonesia could become a new force when it fell. It turned out that Indonesia is a time bomb ready to take over the world with the real truth of democracy, a strong economic power and respect for differences with the heart.
Most of us would not know this binatang2. Now they are in danger and they are threatened with extinction if we as human beings do not keep them Want to know what? check it
